I'm sorry she is gone, but I never liked her work or the reverence she was given. She exuded a certain snobbery in her manner which belied her nature. Without her backstory I would never have guessed her roots. I think her manner turned some people off. I like poetry that is both meaningful and witty at times, not simply dark and brooding. To each their own.

The weapons he bought cost over 3 thousand dollars. He drove a BMW. He bragged about his 300 dollar sunglasses. He was a 22 year old college student, so how did he have money to arm himself, drive a Beemer and buy so much weaponry? What a surprise, divorced wealthy parents. He had two mental health professionals that he was seeing. Guess the parents weren't much use other than to feed his downward spiral. I think they bear much of the guilt for his mental state. Total neglect and buying his friendship despite his mental problems.

it was never the convention that was fun, it was working in the kitchen as a kid in those paper hats and aprons as tall as we were, stirring monster pots of sauce with huge wooden spoons while standing on a platform, now that was fun! Who ever heard any of the program? Being out of town, and in a huge tent dining area was the best. Looking for each other in the crowd was exciting for a tween. Of course every convention provided some pronouncement from on high in the from of a book full of speculation, Life Everlasting in the Freedom of the Sons of God, Babylon The Great Has Fallen, Then is Finished the Mystery of God. Heady days my friends. All turned out to be bullsh*t.

The AIDS crisis really got the ball rolling. Fear and panic made MANY MORE than JW's not want a transfusion. Of course they were a part of it but it wasn't those wackos that brought about such intense alterante blood research. Scared I'll Never be Happy Again

i moved out of my mothers house accross the country to room with a friend.
things have been going ok, it's just strange to be so far away from everything that felt familiar, even the meetings.

It is possible to find people that will eventually be able to listen to you and understand. Actually many here do just that. We understand the hurt. But you must remember the old JW teaching that if a spring in the hand is let loose too fast it will fly out of the hand without any control. Dont go out of control. You need your sleep and your wits. Of course you love those people. And of course you love your family. Now you must live without forgetting that love, but you must put it in its place. You ARE IMPORTANT no matter what the JW's told you about being a miserable sinner! Sounds like you are a pretty good one! Like all the rest of us. Its called life. So live it. Lean on your friends here. Be patient about building friendships. They will come. If you need therapy, get it. If you need friends? make them. Just dont give up on being free and honest with yourself. Good luck little Padawan! We are on your side!
